Throughout 15 years in the market, TCI has worked in various projects in different industries, always delivering quality products and meeting with established deadlines and characteristics. TCI's main projects are explained below.
TELEDESPACHO The foreign trade industry’s network, including the government’s SUNAD, custom agents, shipping lines, authorized warehouses, inspection and certification companies (SGS, Bivac), exchange information required to speed up the operation of the custom's system and procedures. FINANCIAL TRANSACTIONS Banks and our customers provide information about account transactions, balance, employee payments and payments to third parties. RETAIL STORES They use the electronic exchange service to integrate their different points of sale, sending daily information about their operation. SIAF – SP INTEGRATION The Peruvian Department of Economy and Finances (MEF) developed the “Sistema Integrado de Administracion Financiera para el Sector Público” (SIAF-SP). At the end of 1997, they requested the integration of their application with TCI’s electronic messaging system. At the present, our system attends 2,800 nation-wide offices and handles more than 1,000,000 monthly transactions. DYNAMO Since December 1999, TCI started to introduce to the local market the Automated Purchase System (EDI format) in the food, pharmaceutical and office supplies industry. The system permits quote, purchase and handle orders from their main customers and suppliers. SISTELCOM Towards the end of 2001, an implementation of an integrated communication solution between “El Comercio” Publishing Company, their agencies and main customers was established. At the present time, the publishing orders solicited by these companies to “El Comercio”, enter directly to their database, without having to enter the information manually. With this solution the times to deliver and process were minimized and the working hours were extended. TELEMANIFIESTO Since the year 2004, the maritime agencies send their cargo manifests in EDI format to SUNAT, to receive approval. This service achieved the purpose of increasing the maritime transport companies more competitive. TEPSA This turnkey project developed and implemented a Sales and Reservation system for tickets, parcels, cargo and letters for one of the biggest local ground transportation company; TEPSA. The implementation was achieved with Linux and VPN connection nation-wide. TRANSMAR EXPRESS In 2005, TCI developed and implemented a Sales and Reservation system for tickets, parcels, cargo and letters for an important local ground transportation company; TRANSMAR EXPRESS. The implementation was achieved using Linux and VPN connections nation-wide. Additionally, TCI provides hosting of their database, as well as tech support and maintenance of the software and interconnection. FOREIGN TRADE – CUSTOMS INTEGRATION PROJECT This project started in 1994 and its purpose was to integrate the custom brokers with the government’s customs agency. For this integration, the participation of the Peruvian government’s customs agency (ADUANAS), customs brokers, custom broker’s software suppliers, and VAN providers. Every on of them was to be technologically prepared to handle the new customs operating procedures. The government’s custom agency passed a law with the new file structure, so that software providers could adapt to the new structures and generate electronic documents in these formats. Once the formats where established, TCI coordinated the integration of their systems with TCI’s secure electronic messaging. TCI also coordinated with ADUANA the place where the information would be deposited/ stored so that their system could process, respond and generate responses. The store and forward design of TCI’s transactional system, known as SAT, still prevails because of the traceability it offers in spite of newer technologies in the market. At this time TCI gives service to more than 140 custom brokers that exchange information with the government’s custom agency and between brokers, speeding up the import/ export supply chain. TCI’s TECHNOLOGY- ADVANCED TRANSACTIONAL SYSTEM TCI’s own communications system, ATS (SAT, in Spanish), is made up of two modules: Server and Client developed in C++ on Linux and Visual VB. It has the ability of operating and integrates with different applications like SAP, AS400 etc. The system delivers total security and confidentiality of the information it transmits. The following are the general characteristics of TCI’s ATS (Client/ Server) technology: -Store and forward file and transaction communication. -Ability to integrate itself with other application in different platforms through API (Application Program Interface). -Crash recovery capacity with automated uninterrupted reestablishment without loss of information already transmitted. -Uses automated encryption mechanisms and variable seed of information. Each file or transaction is encrypted using a different seed. -Security for access to the information using variable access codes (Tokens). -Uses its own communications protocol based on TCP/ IP. -Ability to use multiple communication channels (T1). -Ability to interact with the client’s application to establish duplicity of transactions. -Use of automated compression algorithms of the information to be transmitted. -Use of encrypting algorithms for storage of information. -Uses an automated certification system for the delivery and reception of information. -Ability to handle distribution lists. -Ability to manage transactions. If a file or transaction is part of a group, the system will not deliver the information until all the group has been received correctly. -Ability to register every one of the different processes in a transaction, which permits a more meticulous tracking of all the transmitted information. -Provides independent e-mail service. |
